Partiendo de la escultura como centro, planteo mi practica artística desde la experimentación de distintos formatos representativos que van desde el dibujo a la fotografía, de la construcción a la instalación de los objetos que genero para entender el entorno en el que nos movemos.
Remitiendo la idea de Heidegger <<el límite no es allí donde terminan las cosas, sino donde las cosas comienzan a tomar esencia>> es el punto desde el que me interesa situar y empezar a trabajar; exponiendo el momento en el que las cosas se nos muestran en un estado incipiente, evoco escenarios donde la materia comienza a organizarse, y podamos concebir lo que vemos en un estado de tensión entre material y cosa– proceso y pieza final.
Entendiendo el objeto como un artefacto que desarrolla la función de mediador entre un entorno próximo, cotidiano y nuestra percepción mi trabajo juega con los límites de lo imaginado y aquello que podría ser real.
Trato de construir y deconstruir estados mentales en que podamos interpretar lo que vemos a nuestro alrededor no como objetos tangibles en un espacio “conocido” sino interpelando espacios en que se evidencien las contradicciones perceptivas pudiendo poner en duda esas convenciones en que nuestro cuerpo y entorno nos ha instaurado, rescatando y construyendo al objeto a partir de los datos proporcionados por nuestros sentidos como en un orden de organización espontánea.
Taking sculpture as a central point, my artistic practice goes around the experimentation of different representative formats: from drawing to photography, from construction to the installation of the objects I make to understand the environment in which we move ourselves.
Refering to Heidegger's idea << the limit is not where things end, but where things begin to take essence >> is the point from which I am interested in locating and starting to work; exposing the moment when things are shown to us in an incipient state, I evoke scenarios where matter begins to organize, and in this way we can conceive what we see in a state of tension between material and thing— process and final piece.
Understanding the object as an artifact that is carring out as a mediator between a daily- closed environment and our perception, my work plays with the limits of what is imagined and which could be real.
I try to build and deconstruct mental states in which we can interpret what we see around us not as tangible objects in a “known” space but by challenging spaces in which perceptual contradictions are evident. In this way its possible to question about those conventions in which our body and environment it has established ourselves, rescuing and reconstructing the object from the data provided by our senses as in a spontaneous order of organization.
